IMAGINATIONS KIOSK
Site-specific Performance
An experiment that seeks to create new emotional bonds with urban spaces, valuing personal sensitive experiences —dreams and memories— to connect and expand community imagination and its possibilities.
Can art become a listening laboratory to imagine new utopias?
Through this performative experience, we propose creating fictions within a very specific, everyday, and commercial space such as food markets.
We consider that markets represent a social microcosm: they bring together different generations and social classes and delineate gender gaps. We can find pre-established dynamics that repeat similarly in every market around the world, but there are also specific—unwritten—rules and practices that differentiate them from each other.
Through a series of interviews previously conducted with the people who work in the market, we will design a map and an audio guide to lead the "Imaginations Walking Tour" inspired by the dreams, desires, and utopias of the workers.
During the performance, when people approach the Imaginations Kiosk, they will receive a printed map and the audio guide (available through their phones). Our invitation is to put on the headphones and follow that route through the market.
The Imaginations Kiosk seeks to conceive new choreographies that allow us to extract spaces from the repeated rhythm of routine and re-inhabit them through new narratives.
How can we make life more livable? This is at the root of our artistic concerns and what drives this particular project.
Our Kiosk is a spark in the market landscape to imagine fictions that ignite questions we had never thought of or simply had not paid attention to before.

The Kiosk's first stop: Prishtina, Kosovo—September, 2025
For 10 days, we dedicated ourselves to interviewing the people who work at the Prishtina market, the city's historic Bazaar where you can find fruits, vegetables, spices, legumes, clothes, and stories.
We invite you to stroll through the Bazaar

Map/handpiece, given on the opening days at the Bazaar. Prishtina.
September 26 & 27, 2025.

The Imaginations Walking Tour is created from the dialogue with the workers of each market. Thanks to the stories and dreams they share with us, we create an audio guide and its map to explore the market, highlighting the dreamlike and sensitive memory in a familiar space.
We design new choreographies that can distort urban time.
By charting new itineraries that respond to this sensitive material, we wish to create a map that can open our senses to experience other connections and, hopefully, ignite questions we had never thought of or simply had not paid attention to before.
